Town Gate Barn is a Lakeland stone cottage sleeping six guests in the village of Threlkeld. It sits at the base of Blencathra Fell in the Lake District National Park. The property features exposed wooden beams and high ceilings throughout the open-plan living spaces.

Threlkeld offers direct access to mountain trails and sits just 5 miles from Keswick. The village has a local pub and restaurant within walking distance. Blencathra summit rises 3 miles away while Derwentwater lies 4.5 miles from the cottage.

The ground floor contains three bedrooms: one king-size with en-suite shower over bath and two twin rooms. A separate wet room with shower serves the additional bedrooms. Upstairs you'll find an open-plan kitchen with dining area plus a lounge with wood burner and Smart TV. A small snug off the kitchen provides extra relaxation space.

Skiddaw (8 miles, 20 minutes) and Catbells (9 miles, 25 minutes) offer excellent walking routes. Whinlatter Forest (8.5 miles, 22 minutes) provides mountain biking trails. Ullswater (10 miles, 28 minutes) has boat rentals and lake cruises.

Town Gate Barn works perfectly for families and walking groups. The enclosed garden with decked area overlooks the fells.
