Corner Cottage is a traditional stone cottage in Portinscale, a quiet village less than 2 miles from Keswick in the Lake District, Cumbria. The exterior is classic Lakeland stone but step inside and you get a modern, light and airy interior that feels fresh and well looked after. Guests have called it "absolutely immaculate" across multiple visits.

Portinscale sits right on the edge of Derwentwater. Footpaths leave directly from the doorstep in several directions so you can walk straight into the fells without getting in the car. Derwentwater Marina is less than 500 metres away with boat and canoe hire available.

The cottage sleeps 4 across two bedrooms. The king-size bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with shower over the bath.

About Corner Cottage

Corner Cottage is a traditional stone cottage in Portinscale, a quiet village less than 2 miles from Keswick in the Lake District, Cumbria. The cottage sleeps 4 across two bedrooms. The king-size bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with shower over the bath. The twin bedroom has a zip-and-link bed that converts to a king-size on request and its own en-suite shower room. Both bedrooms have TVs. Note: this property does not have a hot tub.

Keswick town centre is 2 miles away. Buttermere is 8 miles for gentler walks. Grasmere is 15 miles and Helvellyn starts at Patterdale just 18 miles away.

Ideal base for walkers in Keswick and the surrounding area. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need. Parking is not a problem and the village has an excellent Cafe and the bar at the Derwentwater Hotel was very handy.

What a great cottage plenty of room for four adults. Great location to take a dog as there is a fabulous walk along the river at hand. Everything was well within driving distance and the local pub served a great meal.

An excellently located cottage just a 15 minute walk into Keswick with a local pub and coffee shop on your doorstep in Portinscale. The cottage has everything you could need and is immaculately clean - weâ??d definitely recommend and would love to stay again!
