Crow Cottage Reviews

Crow cottage is in the best location, 3 mins walk to Keswick high street. We didn't use our car all week, walks are right on your doorstep and the bus service is cheap and convenient. The cottage itself is lovely, spacious and very comfortable. We felt very lucky to have selected it.
Second time at Crow Cottage. Very comfortable place with everything you need for a nice stay. Very handy for walking into town and we also found a lovely cafe in the park over the road. Nice and cool house in the heatwave!
Dirty towel left in bedroom. Overall cleanliness poor. Dirty unwashed grill pan left in oven. Oven grill not working. Ironing board difficult to get out. No child safe cups or plates. Would benefit from a downstairs toilet. Would not recommend this property.
Kirsty
Another wonderful holiday at Crow Cottage. Everything was as perfect as it was when we last stayed. Had a small issue with the water but Tracey managed to fix it almost straight away. Such a comfortable and convenient place to stay and we can't wait to return next year.
Christine
Lovely comfortable cottage cleaning regime needs some improvement. Temperamental hoover full to the brim . Central location so well return .
Great cottage in a good location. Really well equipped. A big plus having parking and a garden. Quiet location but so handy for town and the park. Our first stay but have already booked again for next year. Thank you.
Exceptional cottage in a super location, beautifully furnished and maintained to a high standard. We had a wonderful holiday.
Patricia
Location perfect, on the doorstep to the town and walks. Spacious with a very homely feel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. No scissors available.
Tadeusz
A lovely clean beautifully presented cottage in a fabulous location. Close to town and with plenty of hikes on the doorstep. It was quiet and comfortable with all the facilities that we needed. I would highly recommend.
Fantastic cottage with everything we needed. Great location.
Graham
Although the property was well equipped and tidy, we had a problem with the fridge . We had to throw away quite a lot of food because the fridge wasn't working.
Our second stay at crow cottage and really enjoyed it
Alasdair
We've been coming to the Lakes annually for over 30 years and this is the best house we have stayed in. Very comfortable, all the facilities you need and fabulous location
Joanne
It is a lovely house , beautifully maintained and we had a great holiday thanks. Just the dripping bath taps which we couldnt stop and also the family bathroom sink tap sometimes dripped . I brought a cafetire from home as I remember from last year there wasnt one Im not keen on the machine coffee. Beds sooooo comfy , fabulous oven. Thank you very much . Jo Liggins
Catherine
Beautiful house close to town and with parking. Very comfortable and well equipped. Would stay again.
Our second stay at this wonderful home. Well equipped and very comfortable. We have booked to come back next year again.
Timothy
Lovely cottage and our second stay would consider staying again. 3 good sized bedrooms and two sitting rooms means there is loads of space. Only annoyance is that the owner has not arranged for recycling collection presumably as they wont pay council tax.
When we arrived at the cottage there was a lovely welcome pack from the owners which is a lovely touch. The cottage is beautiful, set in lovely surroundings and very well equiped with everything you need for your stay. It is in the perfect position, three minutes walk into Keswick market square and very easy access to the A66 and the surrounding areas of the lake district. This is probably the best cottage we have spent a holiday in and would definitely stop here again and have no hesitation in highly recommending it to anyone thinking of spending time in this area, you will not be dissapointed.
Louisa
Thankyou for a great stay, the house was a fabulous base for us and had everything we needed for a super holiday. Comfy and spacious with a lovely private garden. Tracey came immediately to turn a double into twins for us which was very good of her. Every outdoor pursuit in walking distance...a super location thank you for sharing with us
Elizabeth
Lovely spacious cottage in a great location . Nice and warm and with plenty of seats and facilities. Good parking. Quiet despite just being round the corner from the town centre. Great location for a week in the Lakes.
Barbara
Lovely friendly atmosphere. Thank you for the wine and biscuits. On our arrival we had to ask for a double bed to be separated into two singles. Within twenty minutes a lovely cheery lady came and sorted it for us.
Christina
House was very clean, warm and comfortable. It was well equipped with everything you would need. All rooms were lovely. Close to town centre. Many walks from the front door. I would happily live in this beautiful house. Thank you for very enjoyable stay.
An exceptional stay at a very beautifully appointed home from home. Absolutely faultless, immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. Weve booked to return next year. Very convenient stroll into Keswick which was extremely handy with two young children and well located to explore the Lakes. The Prosecco and Christmas cake bites were much appreciated by the adults and the Christmas tree was much appreciated by the children!
The house was lovely. Keep up the good work.
Kathleen
We had a fabulous stay at this comfortable and beautifully appointed cottage. The short stroll into town was a real bonus and our grandson loved the park which is opposite the cottage and again only a few minutes walk away. Keswick itself is lovely with plenty of restaurants, cafes and pubs. We would love to stay in Crow Cottage again in the future.
A beautiful, well equipped, comfortable cottage, in a perfect location just a short walk from the centre of Keswick. The secluded garden was lovely. Would gladly stay again
Sharon
The property was well maintained and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay with the family including a 16 mth old toddler. It was very quiet despite the proximity to the Penrith Rd and the parking for two cars great. Couple of points to note, the cot provided doesn't have a mattress so check out its dimensions if you want to use it. Also the garden is not secure due to a gap in the hedge by the gates. We were able to block it off by moving a wooden structure so that our grandson couldn't easily escape. That said, we would certainly stay there again.
What a beautiful cottage, in the most perfect location! 5 minutes walk if that from the main shopping area in Keswick and space for 2 cars to park safely. We were absolutely blown away by Crow Cottage. It was so clean, luxurious and with lovely modern touches. The communication we had with the owners prior to our stay, and also the housekeeper during our time there was brilliant. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend & rebook ourselves.
Angela
Lovely cottage , only downside was due to the cold weather we found it very cold in both living rooms. Smaller living room has a radiator completely blocked by furniture. And the larger room is serviced by a really small radiator partially blocked by furniture , radiators in the bay window would help.
Hannah
We loved our stay at Crow Cottage! The property was so cosy and the perfect place for a family weekend away. There were so many lovely little touches on arrival which made it feel very welcoming. The cottage is beautifully decorated and in a fantastic location, We would love to stay again in the future.
Alison
Superb cottage in the perfect location, very clean, warm and welcoming. Looking forward to a return visit.
The shower in the ensuite requires repair, cannot get a hot shower. It was reported during our stay.
A problem with the fridge which was not resolved until 4 days after arrival, ... A problem with the fridge which was not resolved until 4 days after arrival, poor and rude customer service at the time, wrongly blaming us for the fault Slow response to complaint required chasing up with no apology and inadequate compensation As regular and loyal customer I am extremely disappointed with Sykes
Our second visit to Crow Cottage and we love it! Well positioned for all the facilities of Keswick and good as a base for many walks. Clean and comfortable. Relaxing and luxurious. Couldn't ask for more!
