Braithwaite sits on the edge of the Lake District. Whinlatter Forest Park is 2. 5 miles away with mountain biking trails, Go Ape and osprey spotting. Keswick known as the Adventure Capital of England is a 30-minute walk. Two good pubs are close by for food and drinks.

The cottage has three bedrooms sleeping six: two king-size rooms and a third with adult-sized bunk beds. All beds are made up with Egyptian cotton bedding. The family bathroom has a free-standing roll-top bath and separate shower. The open-plan kitchen/diner includes a Belfast sink, dishwasher, gas hob and washer-dryer.
Derwentwater boat trips are in Keswick (2.5 miles). The Coledale Horseshoe walk starts nearby. Go Ape at Whinlatter is 2.5 miles away. Keswick cinema and restaurants are under 3 miles.
Enclosed mature garden and two dogs welcome. Foresters Cottage suits families, walkers and dog owners wanting a proper Lake District base.
