Superb apartment with 180 degree views of the mountains from the conservatory. Ideally situated about a mile from Keswick via a footpath over the fields by the river.

A fabulous, spacious and comfortable apartment which is beautifully furnished. It was lovely and warm and cosy for our winter stay. The kitchen is generously equipped with high quality products and everything you need for meal prep. The views are stunning! We plan to return!

A very comfortable and spacious accommodation. Lovely and toasty for a cosy winter break. Well looked after. The views are a stand out feature, especially from the sun room. Onsite parking is a bonus for keswick area.

Having visited One the Howe for a number of years now, its still an amazing place to stay. Location is great, welcome pack was lovely and has all the comforts of home. This time we stayed for two weeks and that wasnt long enough, looking forwards to our next trip so will be back. Graham & Ann.

Great location in a lovely area of the Lake District with great access to facilities. The property itself is special as most properties in the area are cottages with small rooms One The Howe is the opposite with large rooms and high ceilings. The owners left the nicest welcome pack and are available if anything should go wrong they seem to genuinely care. We will look to visit again in the future.

We love this place. Second time we have visited and cant wait to go back. Well equipped with a great location. Even has a cot and high chair available.

Fantastic stay at one the Howe once again, if you want a great location with stunning views of the surrounding fells that is quite, then this property is ideal. Just outside the town, but close enough to both walk and use the car. With the heavy frost and chance of snow we used the large garage this time to put the car in overnight, so no frosty windows in the morning. Everything about the property is ideal, clean, warm and has everything you need for a great stay. We are already looking forwards to coming back again.

This is a brilliant holiday home with everything needed for a relaxing break. We have stayed many times and it never disappoints. Close to Keswick with constantly changing views over the fells. The welcome pack of goodies is always wellreceived. Thank you again for a great stay.

A comfortable and spacious groundfloor apartment in an elevated location with great views. It seemed well equipped for our needs and we had no problem with its cleanliness. We appreciated the welcome pack thank you. The sunroom gets nicely warm and we found it handy for airing or drying clothes. The gated courtyard is shared with the two flats above and has ample space for parking. There is also a large garage. The pub in Portinscale is about a 10 minute walk away and I reached the centre of Keswick Moot Hall, walking briskly, in 25 minutes. We had a very good stay. I didnt use the car for a week, but walked or cycled around the area Newlands, Buttermere, Borrowdale etc. A couple of minor negatives when the flat above was occupied we heard a fair bit of noise transmitted through the floor. Also, when we needed to use the heating for a couple of days in June! the apartment began to smell of heating oil. I think this is because the oilfired boiler is in the kitchen. I reported this. The problem went away when the weather warmed up and so the heating was off.

An amazing house with lovely views. Everything was clean, tidy and in working order. We had no problems or concerns at all during our stay. It was more than we could have asked for. Thank you so much!

Every comfort you could want after a long day out on the fells. The house was warm, spacious and clean with magnificent views and plenty of nearby activities to choose from. Enjoyed a somewhat dicey ridgewalk up Blencathra, snow on the summit of Skiddaw and stunning views while on The Coldale Round. Didn't want the stay here to end, but glad to have found this gem for the future. Thanks and see you again next year.

We have stayed here twice before, arriving for the third time it was noted immediately that the cleanliness had reduced dramatically, I cleaned the cobwebs from the lounge light fitting lots of them and also from the walls in lounge and bedroom. The cooker hob was very dirty and the kitchen floor sticky so we cleaned this also. The glass coffee table in the lounge was also awful. We were surprised as previously the cleaning standard was exceptional. This is just some constructive feedback, not a criticism by any means.

Spacious and warm rooms with great views of valleys and fells. Many parts of the flat were dirty however and this spoilt our stay.

This is our fourth stay at The Howe. It is just perfect. A home from home. Ideally situated for the Northern Lakes with loads of walks a short distance from the apartment. We have already booked to return with friends in June 2024.

A very spacious apartment, nicely furnished and well equipped. Large bedrooms with very comfy beds. Enjoyed the conservatory, lovely scenery. Excellent location, only 5 minutes drive to Keswick centre and 10 minute walk to a nice pub. Great bonus was the large garage for our car and bikes.

1 The Howe is a lovely place to stay, beautifully positioned with magnificent views. It was our second stay there and it was as delightful as before. The interior is clean, comfortable and well furnished. My only small moan would be the state of the windows which needed a good clean inside and out. However, it's a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it and definitely stay there again myself.

Delightful apartment with wonderful views! Spacious, spotless and comfortable with everything that was needed. Utilities folder was concise. I had no trouble with the coded key store and the electric gate fob is well placed on the hall table. Lovely welcome pack and essentials to start off our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and didnt want to leave.

What a find! The location was perfect and the apartment was just wonderful. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and so spacious. I really can't fault it, we loved our week here and would love to return.

A great week with fantastic weather ideally located for walking and touring in the northern lakes. The property is very comfortable and well equipped, with wonderful views.

It would have been nice to have a patio table and chairs as we could have eat outside on a couple of occasions. There also needs to be more than one set of keys we were 2 couples and did not always do the same thing and found driving out and then having to go back into the house to lock up and put the keys in the key box every time a bit inconvenient. It would have been useful to have had the bin collection times so we could have put them out the recycle plastic etc was so full we could not get ours in.

Fantastic property, very clean and spacious set in a lovely location close to the fells yet close to Keswick town.

Everything about the house was really spectacular. All the many thoughtful details were really appreciated, and the house was extremely elegant, comfortable, cozy and warm. Our only hesitation about it was that the listing made it sound quite a bit easier walk to get into Keswick. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay!

This was our first stay at 1, The Howe and we really enjoyed it. The apartment was comfortable, quiet, spacious and very well equipped. We knew it was a distance from Keswick, which we were happy with although walking across the busy main road wouldnt be everyones choice. Our daughter loved the sun room and felt right at home in the swinging chair! Overall it was a great place and one wed be happy to return to. A big thank you also to Kim from the management team, who helped keep the journey up from Oxford stress free despite the huge delays we experienced

Beautiful place, would go again.

We had an amazing time at 1 The Howe. The views were spectacular just as described. Even when it was cloudy and raining doing a jig saw in the conservatory, or sitting on the swing seat reading, was so relaxing. Beds were also very comfortable and we slept so well and we had everything we needed.

This was our second holiday at One The Howe, and we absolutely loved every minute of it. Brilliant location, spacious rooms, wonderful views of the Cumbrian mountains from almost every room in the property, all modcons in place. Above all, the best thing we loved about the place was the peace & tranquility. Definitely one of the best holidays we have had in recent times.

A truly spacious and comfortable property, well equipped and well appointed. The great pluses for us we're it's all on single level parking for two vehicles and beautiful vistas all around. A short drive from the centre of Keswick at the end of a single track path. No facilities like a pub on the doorstep, but everything else made up for. Thoroughly enjoyable and we intend to revisit when we can.

Our second visit to this property and, once again, it didnt disappoint. A luxurious apartment to return to after a days walking. Close to the local amenities in Keswick. Stunning views from the sun room. We will be returning.

The property was lovely. As well as the info from Sykes about access etc, i also got a text directly from the owners both on arrival and leaving. There was a wonderful welcome pack for our party on arrival which made us feel welcome straightaway. I would definitely recommend One the How to my friends. The kitchen was well stocked, the only thing I couldn't find was a food processorliquidiser which would have been very useful.
