Pippin Cottage Reviews

The location was perfect for us across from the park, close to the town and walking distance from the lake. We were so happy with this cottage, it was really well equipped and we had a great holiday. We've stayed in a lot of Lakelovers properties, but this is definitely the best we've been in.

Location is excellent, and most of the property is built to high standards. A few points to note It's more suited to vacationers than walkers in my view. The property lacks an entryway suitable for shoes and gears after walks, and it's tricky to manage if you are out hiking all day. Some furniture and housewares need a little TLC. Pans need to be replaced in my view. An armchair had a broken leg. Just minor but a few of them we also came at the end of the summer season. The complete absence of salt and pepper the mills were empty, and nothing else to be found was a real let down especially as you are midway in prepping dinner. This was a full star off the rating. Owners need to relay to cleaning team to check everything the oven pans stored in one of the cupboards were left greasy.

We had a lovely stay at Pippin Cottage and Lucie, the owner who lives next door, could not have been more helpful. The cottage is ideally placed for walking into Keswick. We stayed to attend the Keswick Convention, held at the pencil factory, and it was a lovely 1015 min stroll through Fitz park to get there. The cottage is very comfortable and the beds were great. Theres a bit of maintenance to do like replacing broken tiles on the kitchen floor and repairing a dodgy dining chair but overall we were pleased with our stay. As soon as we contacted Lucie about anything she responded, even allowing us to use her parking space for a time on our last day when we were stuck for somewhere to leave the car.
Great location. . Not used to the road traffic but back room was fine. Would recommend. .. Take pack of cards for rainy days.

What a delight staying at Pippin Cottage, staying for New Year it was lovely to have a Christmas tree in the cottage and a little treat from the owner, a well equipped kitchen we only used at breakfast time as we spoilt ourselves eating out every day. Really comfortable beds, it felt such a luxury break, the decor and furniture are all of a high standard. Perfect location to explore Keswick, and really handy having a parking space in central Keswick, we didnt need to use the car for our stay as we could walk everywhere. Lucie the owner was on hand and replied super quick to any queries. We will most Definately return to Pippin Cottage and will highly recommend to friends & family.
Pippen cottage was perfect for our stay in Keswick. Gorgeous cottage, beautifully decorated, super clean and well cared for. Great central location and worked well being close to Fitz Park for our dog. Would highly recommend. Thank you.

Outside back door room which had lots of things in blinds on windows but not on door felt overlooked. Also window above there was a staircase again felt overlooked. Not enough bins to put rubbish in outside property.
Lovely cottage in a perfect location . Opposite fits park . Easy access to all pubs shop restaurants. We stayed 2 weeks and didnt use the car once . Amazing rest full perfect place to recharge
We absolutely loved our stay at Pippin Cottage. The cottage is perfectly located near to the shops and restaurants and directly opposite a lovely park. The cottage has everything you need and is very clean and tidy. It also has a parking space behind the property. We highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to stay in Keswick.

Very comfortable house, in a good location to Keswick, 10 minute walk. Fitz park opposite, great for dog walks. Small secure garden. Allocated parking space, very tight access, with large car.
Sharon
We enjoyed our stay here and felt the cottage was in a great location with beautifully decorated interior and furnishings. The beds were so comfortable and bathroom was fabulous very spacious and ultra modern. Great shower. Kitchen well equipped and beautiful Christmas trees which were not expected but was lovely to have. Due to our stay being between Christmas and new year. Only grumble, the parking is very tight and definitely only for one small car. Also we have never had to ask for the heating to be switched on, it was so cold during our stay and we had to message the owner who was very obliging to put the heating on for us as we were cold. She did do this but we felt awkward sending messages. I hope this is not taken as criticism but as honest feedback. Maybe a controller for whoever is staying to control during their stay. Thanks so much tho we did enjoy the stay
Excellent location. Very comfortable and well equipped . We have every intention of coming back.

My wife & I had a delightful week in this excellent accomodation. The property is very well presented, & contains 2 very comfortable beds, a high spec kitchen, & a restful lounge, as well as a very nice shower roomtoilet. It is superbly situated with very easy access to the town centre, whilst remaining relatively undisturbed by the tourist traffic, & a short wander across to Fitz park. We have loved being here, & heartily recommend it to all.
Stephanie
Really lovely property central to Keswick. Just what we needed. Easy to keep clean as we had a furry friend with us. Owner was very friendly and contactable if needed but in no way intrusive. Added bonus of a parking space. Will definitely return.

Great cottage, perfectly placed for town and hills. Large, private secure garden ideal for our two dogs. Parking space for the car next to the garden entrance....perfect. Standard of fitting and decor of the highest. Owner very kind and helpful. Not the cheapest but great value. You won't regret booking here.
Sharon
This is a fabulous cottage in a great location, especially with dogs being across from the park and an enclosed garden is just perfect! Decorated beautifully, amazingly comfortable beds and good facilities, we will be booking again! It would be amazing if there was a washer dryer though, particularly when walking lots!
Jackie
This is our second stay at Pippin Cottage and again we had a lolvey holiday. The cottage is the perfect location for everything especially the park across the road for our cockerpoo Molly. My only criticism was the bike shed as last year we realised we could bring our bikes only for it to be full of stuff when we got there so we were unable to use it ,apart from that it was perfect.
Gregor
We had a lovely week, and Pippin cottage was perfect for us our dog is called Pippin too, and we all felt very much at home. It was ideal being so close to the park, and only a few minutes from the centre of town. The cottage facilities were excellent and we will definitely be back.
Joanne

Lovely house, has everything you need. Location is perfect for walks and town there is a park across the road for a quick stroll with the dogs.
Pippin Cottage is a gem of a find. It a beautiful, well kept, very comfortable cottage, many positives for this cottage absolutely no negatives can be said about our stay. It is extremely tastefully decorated and has everything you would possible need. It is in an ideal position opposite a lovely park which has such a lot of amenities, excellent for any furry friends you have accompanying you on holiday. Your a 5 minutes walk from the centre of Keswick to all shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs and much more. The lake and outside theatre was only 10 minutes walk. Would definitely stay again.
We loved our stay in Pippin Cottage. The cottage was tastefully decorated and it felt like it was loved and cared for. It was very clean and it was great to find the cupboards stocked with helpful items like clingfilm and kitchen foil for picnics. The location was ideal, across the road from the beautiful Fitz Park and a couple of minutes' walk into town. Keswick itself is an amazing place with so much to do from the cottage doorstop. We never used the car during our week. I would highly recommend Pippin Cottage and we'd definitely return.
Pippin cottage was a fantastic place to stay, tastefully decorated and fitted out. Bathroom was stunning, beds were really comfortable, and very wl equipped kitchen. Lucy was extremely helpful whenever I contacted her. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We found the cottage very much home from home and really enjoyed our stay. We would book the same cottage again in the future.
Deborah
We love Pippin Cottage and this is our third time staying. Its so homely and has everything you need. Ideally situated for everything you want to do. We would highly recommend this property to anyone. Thank you.
Robert
Great cottage in a great location. Fantastic furnishings and everything you could possibly need. Great shower that works as good as it looks that's rare in Keswick! As is having your own private parking, although when other cars parked nearby, maneuvering in and out can be a bit tricky, but not impossible. Lovely host too, there if needed, but not imposing.
Beautiful well equipped cottage which exceeded all our expectations. A great location, really close to Keswick town for all the shops and restaurants. Being across the road from Fitz Park was a real bonus too for our cockapoo, every trip into town had to start with a walk through the park!!
The cottage is in a great location, a beautiful property that is dog friendly. There are good walks nearby like Catbells. The bed was very comfy!
