Firbank is a three-bedroom cottage in Thornthwaite in the Western Lake District. This Cumbrian retreat sleeps six guests and sits just four miles from Keswick. Mountain views stretch towards Skiddaw. An open fire warms the lounge on cold evenings.
The location puts you near Whinlatter Forest Park (3. 5 miles) and Derwentwater (4 miles). Walk from the door into the fells. Take the bus into Keswick. Board a boat across the lake or hire a canoe. The area offers excellent walking routes and cycling trails through the forest.
The ground floor holds a king-size bedroom with fell views and a twin bedroom. Downstairs you'll find another king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room.

Keswick town centre (4 miles, 10 minutes) has The Pencil Museum and The Puzzling Place. Whinlatter Forest Park (3.5 miles, 8 minutes) offers bike hire and osprey watching. Derwentwater (4 miles, 10 minutes) provides boat trips and watersports.
